Mini evaporator on a CF16 flange



The image show a Q5 point source with double shield on a CF16 flange (PS-CF16+PSQ5+PS2S).
Due to fast decay curve and low power consumption these arrangement works without shutter and cooling.
The length adapter allows adaptation to UHV systems of the user.

Additional equipment to install a point source on a CF40 flange



The drawings show four CF40 flanges that can be used to mount all available point sources and shields in a simple way.
Length in UHV (flange - end of point source) is possible from 75mm to 300mm according to customer requirements.

Crucibles


Due to the very low degassing of quartz glass, we recommend
crucibles of this material for very pure preparation.
Aperture crucibles must be used if the evaporator/point source
is mounted horizontal or pointing downwards.
The aperture crucible can be used in head-down position
for the layer deposition on horizontal surface with masks.

Supply cable


Simple supply cable PS-ST for connecting the point source
to a power supply with a length of up to 4 m,
length according to customer requirements.

Example to install point sources


one point sources on CF40 flange
The image shows the installation on the PS-CF40/H flange,
with the PS-Q5 (heating element) and a PS-2S (double shield).
The vacuum length is 90 mm.

Due to the long length in the vacuum of 365 mm, the cable is routed internally
and the flange has three retaining bolts.

A rotary shutter (on CF16) can be added to this base flange.

This fully equipped evaporator has liquid cooling and a rotary shutter
(to be ordered in addition).
